Iliad does two things. It is a calm place to write one document at a time, with small AI help (inline completion, the ✦ AI menu, the corrector). It is also where you review what an outside AI agent wrote in your folder, chunk by chunk.
The docs are intentionally brief. Each article explains what a feature does, how to use it, what to expect, and where the current limits are.
What To Read First
- Visual Markdown explains the editor model, where normal Markdown files render in place while you write.
- Iliad MD v0.7.0 explains what changed in the current release. Comments can show in the right margin, and agents can leave comments without editing your text.
- Iliad MD v0.6.2 explains the release where the Update button shows download progress and turns into a restart button.
- Iliad MD v0.6.1 explains the release that gave suggestions and ✦ AI edits plainer writing rules.
- Iliad MD v0.6.0 explains the release that made Iliad update itself.
- Iliad MD v0.5.0 explains the release before it. The window is calmer, review of your agent's changes is clearer, and the built-in AI reads your whole document and follows your writing preferences.
- Iliad MD v0.4.0 explains the release that made the built-in AI free, with a daily limit, or on your own Groq key, with suggestions only when you ask.
- Iliad MD v0.3.0 explains the release that removed the built-in chat agent and added chunk-by-chunk review of outside changes, comments as files, and the
iliadcommand. - Reviewing Agent Changes explains how Iliad shows what Claude Code, Codex, or any other tool changed, and how to keep or restore each chunk.
- Working With Claude Code covers the
iliadcommand and the bundled Claude skill. - Autocomplete, Comments And The ✦ AI Menu, and Writing Corrector cover the writing assists.
- Search and File Tree And File Management cover the workspace sidebar.
