# Iliad MD v0.2.7

Iliad MD v0.2.7 is a signed and notarized macOS release for Apple Silicon Macs.

## Update Checks

The app now includes a manual update check. On macOS, choose **Iliad MD -> Check for Updates...** from the app menu. You can also open the workspace menu and choose **Check for Updates...**.

If a newer public release exists, Iliad shows the version and offers a download or release-page link. It does not auto-download, auto-install, or restart the app.

## Visual Markdown

Inline emphasis updates more reliably while writing. When you type `*italic*` or `**bold**` in the active line, Iliad applies the visual style immediately while keeping the Markdown markers visible.

## Release Metadata

This release also adds internal release checks for update metadata. Those checks verify the updater manifest, file sizes, SHA512 hashes, and GitHub provider metadata before a release is published.

## Download

The public download is available from the GitHub release page:
